RACKMAX fiber housings are available in 1RU, 2RU, and 4RU sizes, supporting fiber densities of up to 864, 1,728, and 3,456 fibers, respectively. Designed to accommodate both incremental growth and full-scale deployments, RACKMAX housings provide intuitive operation and advanced fiber management features.
The 19/23” rack-mountable housings are constructed from galvannealed steel for long-lasting durability. Both front and rear doors are hinged at the bottom, and the rear housing cover is removable, providing unobstructed access to all connector interfaces. Integrated routing rings at the front of the trays enable organized, secure patch cord management, facilitating efficient Moves, Adds, and Changes (MACs).
RACKMAX housings are compatible with a wide range of RACKMAX optical cassettes, which can be mixed and matched within a single enclosure to provide plug-and-play flexibility in BASE-8, BASE-12, and BASE-24 configurations. Cassettes can be installed independently from the front or rear using a sliding tray system.
The rear section of the housing includes a trunk cable management area with multiple mounting positions to securely manage slack while allowing trays to slide in and out for installation and servicing, ensuring optimal accessibility and organization.
Rackmax optical cassettes are the building blocks of the high-density platform and are available in a wide range of configurations for multiple applications in BASE-8, BASE-12, and BASE-24 configurations. Available in single-mode and multimode fiber types, Rackmax optical cassettes feature low-loss MPO connectors and VFL-compatible shuttered LC adapters. Rackmax cassettes are compatible with all Rackmax housings and can be independently installed from the front or rear of the housing onto a sliding tray system. This allows access to individual connections while minimizing disruption to other fiber connections.
RackMax trunk cable assemblies provide a high-performance, plug-and-play solution for installations where space efficiency and reliability are essential. Built with advanced MicroCore small-diameter cable technology, they deliver exceptional fiber density, improved bend flexibility, and reduced space requirements in trays, ducts, and conduits while enhancing airflow in high-density environments.
Equipped with the MTP PRO connector, RackMax assemblies allow easy field-reversible polarity and gender changes without exposing fibers or using loose pins. Each assembly features a pre-defined breakout length for clean, organized installation, along with an integrated mounting clip that securely positions the cable and eliminates the need for additional clamps.
